As of May 1, 2026, Ricochet (RicoConsign) charges stores a $100 per month "Non-Integrated Processing Fee" if they use a payment processor other than Ricochet Pay. If you run a consignment, resale or vendor-mall store on Ricochet and you process card payments through Square, Shopify Payments, Clover or any other independent provider, this fee now applies to you on top of your existing subscription. That is an extra $1,200 per year for keeping the card reader and rates you already have.
This page explains exactly what the fee is, why it was introduced, what your real monthly cost on Ricochet now looks like and what alternatives exist.

1. What is Ricochet's $100 non-integrated processing fee?
Ricochet's parent company (Fullsteam Software Holdings LLC) introduced a monthly surcharge for any store that does not use Ricochet Pay, its in-house integrated payment processing product. In Ricochet's own words:
"We're building toward a future where your software, payment processing, and business operations all work together in one unified system. A key part of that vision is Ricochet Pay, our integrated merchant services solution, powered by Fullsteam. Starting May 1, 2026, stores that continue using a non-integrated merchant service provider will be charged a Non Processing Fee of $100.00 per month."
In plain terms: if you use Ricochet Pay, the fee does not apply. If you use any other processor, you pay $100 per month extra.
2. What does Ricochet actually cost per month in 2026?
Here is the current published Ricochet pricing:
Line item | Cost |
|---|---|
Ricochet POS (per location) | $199 / month |
Ricochet Web (ecommerce add-on) | $79 / month |
Non-Integrated Processing Fee (if not using Ricochet Pay) | $100 / month |
Ricochet Pay processing (in person) | 2.6% + $0.10 |
Ricochet Pay processing (online) | 2.9% + $0.30 |
Payout fee (per consignor payout) | $2 |
Total: | $378 + Processing + Payout Fees |
For a store that sells online and wants to keep its own card processor, the software cost alone is $199 + $79 + $100 = $378 per month, before any card processing fees. For context, Ricochet base price has been increased this year from $159 to $199 today, so the all-in monthly cost has moved up over time even before this fee.
3. Why did Ricochet add the $100 non-integrated payment fee?
Ricochet is owned by Fullsteam Software Holdings LLC. Fullsteam is a holding company that acquires vertical software businesses and monetizes them primarily through its own integrated payments. When the company that owns your software also owns the payment rail, the incentive is to move every merchant onto that rail, because the processing margin is where the revenue is.
The $100 fee is a standard tool for that strategy. Rather than forcing a hard switch, it makes staying on an outside processor expensive enough that many stores migrate to Ricochet Pay on their own. Ricochet's processing has been described in public listings as powered by Fortis and, in the 2026 notice, as powered by Fullsteam, which reflects the parent company consolidating processing onto its own infrastructure. Either way, the direction is the same: an integrated, closed system where the software and the payments are bundled.
This is worth understanding because it is a trend, not a one-off. SimpleConsign has its own integrated payments (SimplePay), and the broader pattern across legacy consignment software is bundling software with payments and adding fees for opting out.
4. The open consignment software alternative: Choose your own payment processor with no penalty
Circle-Hand takes the opposite approach to the bundled and locked model and the one reason many stores switched.
Circle-Hand does not take a cut of your payments and we never charge you for using the processor you prefer. Circle-Hand is the consignment and resale layer that sits on top of the point-of-sale system you already use. You can bring your own card reader. You can run Shopify POS, Square, PayPal/Zettle or your local bank's terminal, whichever gives you the best transaction fees and you can switch anytime.
This matters for a practical reason: card processing rates vary a lot by country by volume, and by provider. Circle-Hand stays independent and is not incentivized by your payment choice, we have no reason to push you toward one provider. You optimize for your own margins, not ours.
Circle-Hand pricing is transparent and starts at $99 per month, with no add-on fee for Shopify, Square, or Zettle integration and no fee for setup. There is no surcharge for using an outside processor, because choosing your processor is the whole point.
Ricochet (outside processor) | Circle-Hand | |
|---|---|---|
Base software | $199 / location | from $99 |
Ecommerce / online selling | +$79 | included with official Shopify integration |
Fee for using your own processor | +$100 | $0 |
Combine Shopify with any POS system | Not possible, penalized | Possible |
Total cost per month | $378 / month | from $99 / month |
* Figures are list prices for comparison and exclude card processing rates, which depend on the processor you choose.
5. Switching from Ricochet is straightforward, and we do the import for you
The main reason why stores stay somewhere they would rather leave is the fear of moving their data, but…
You can simply export your consignor and inventory data from Ricochet and import it straight into Circle-Hand via Settings > Data Import. Including all consignor information, inventory, balances and barcodes, so you don't have to start from scratch. Alternatively, you can send us the files and we will help you with the import. Most stores choose a day when sales are lower, such as Sunday or Monday, to process the import.
You can keep the processor and card reader that you already use, so there is no need to replace any payment hardware as part of the switch.
If you would like to check whether your specific Ricochet export will map cleanly, sign up for the 7-day free trial and we can review the import process together before you commit.
FAQ - Ricochet add the $100 non-integrated payment fee
Does Ricochet require you to use their payment processor?
Not strictly, but as of May 1, 2026, Ricochet charges a $100 per month Non-Integrated Processing Fee to stores that use a processor other than Ricochet Pay. You can still use an outside processor; you just pay the fee to do so.
How much is Ricochet's non-integrated fee?
$100 per month, charged on top of your existing Ricochet subscription, for any store not using Ricochet Pay. That is $1,200 per year.
How much does Ricochet cost per month in 2026?
The base Ricochet POS plan is $199 per month per location. Ricochet Web (online selling) is an additional $79 per month. If you use an outside processor, add the $100 non-integrated fee, for $378 per month in software before card processing rates and payout fees ($2 per payout).
What is Ricochet Pay and who powers it?
Ricochet Pay is Ricochet's integrated card processing product. The payment provider is powered by Fullsteam, which is the parent holding company of Ricochet.
Can I keep using Square, Shopify or Clover if I leave Ricochet?
Yes. With an open platform like Circle-Hand you choose your own processor, including Square, Shopify Payments, PayPal/Zettle or a local bank terminal, with no fee for the choice and the freedom to switch or combine processors at any time.
How do I switch from Ricochet to Circle-Hand?
Export your data from Ricochet, including consignors, inventory, balances and barcodes. With Circle-Hand, you send us the export and we handle the import and field mapping, usually within 6 hours, while you keep your existing payment processor and hardware.
Does Circle-Hand take a percentage of my sales or payments?
No. Circle-Hand is a flat monthly subscription starting at $99 and does not take a cut of your sales or your card processing. Circle-Hand is not paid by any payment provider, so we have no reason to steer your processor choice.
Is Circle-Hand cheaper than Ricochet?
For a store that sells online and keeps its own processor, Circle-Hand starts at $99 per month versus roughly $378 per month for Ricochet under the same setup. Your card processing rates are separate and depend on the processor you pick.
